To develop tactical strategy and delivery plans, formulate associated practice and to ensure operational implementation and adoption across a single practice i.t.o. risk methodology, governance and delivery objectives

**Job Description**:
- Full accountability regarding the designing of a Group-aligned and Integrated (Aggregated) ARO Risk Governance, Oversight, MI Insights & Reporting approach/model and to oversee the implementation and embedment thereof.
- Leadership and ownership of the ARO Enterprise-wide Governance, Risk Oversight & Integrated (Aggregated) Reporting Frameworks for the Risk function across ARO. This includes the responsibility for embedding and ownership of a Risk Control Governance Framework for both ERMF and ORMF, as well as consolidated reporting against these frameworks.
- Management oversight on ARO Colleagues and Integrated (Aggregated) Reporting Specialists, to ensure that appropriate Governance, risk, control, and conformance requirements are effectively assessed, aggregated/integrated and reported for ARO ERC and RBB ERC, as well as other ARO and Group MI Insights & Reporting Requirements.
- Support ARO OR HEAD, Executives and Line Management with required governance, control assurance, risk management, integrated reporting, and control assurance objectives.
- Provide risk and compliance support and improvements to ARO in the execution of assurance reviews as and when required.

Be a trusted risk advisor who:

- Provides management with independent and objective end-to-end ARO Enterprise-wide Governance, Risk Oversight and Integrated (Aggregated) Reporting oversight in line with the ARO Enterprise-wide Risk Management Framework and ARO Risk Framework.
- Understands business processes, models, key drivers, and risk.
- Identifies risk using data, dashboards, and metrics. Analyses risk information and provides advice and recommendations regarding emerging risks, trends, and early detection of control issues.
- Sets trigger benchmarks and actions, and monitors improvements through Data Driven Methodology DDM.
- Develops and promotes a risk-smart workforce and environment.
- Deploys capacity and tools to be innovative while recognizing and respecting the need to be prudent in
- Promotes the protection of the Bank and its customers’ interest.
- Supports an effective risk culture, where there is an open, proactive, and constructive dialogue relating
- to Risk Management.
- Informs risk profiles and ensure ARO Risk is managed in line with approved risk appetite.
- Enables management to monitor the effectiveness of the control environment and to take action to
- Prevents, Mitigates and Remediates ARO Risk, where required.

Accountability: ARO Enterprise-wide and ARO Risk Framework, Policies and Standards Governance Oversight
- Providing clear direction on the Governance & reporting Oversight role, strategic plan, and key focus
- areas.
- Provide relevant coaching, guidance and training on the implementation and maintenance of the ARO Enterprise-wide & ARO Risk framework components (including Critical Process Assessments (CPAs), Key Indicators (KIs), Events, Strategic Risk
- Assessments, etc.) and capital drivers.
- Assess the level of compliance for the relevant risk frameworks and policies.
- Manage / facilitate the ARO Executive Risk Committee and Combined Assurance Forum, in conjunction with the OR Head.
- Remain abreast of the ARO Enterprise-wide & ARO Risk framework, policies, standards, procedures and relevant legislation/regulations.
- Provide assurance that the ARO Enterprise-wide & ARO Risk Framework and Standards are implemented through Conformance Reviews where required and as directed by the Combined Assurance Forum.
- Maintain and promote network of Lessons Learned (including Root Cause Analysis)
- Sharing across businesses and geographies. Educate business and facilitate appropriate proactive remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

Accountability: Integrated (Aggregated) MI Insights & Reporting
- Working with executives and senior management, develop and implement management information reporting requirements (focusing on risk exposure versus appetite, including Key Indicators and control conformance information) related to the ERMF and the ORMF.
- Produce accurate Risk reports for Executives, Governance Forums and for the Risk Owner
- Report to business ExCo and Risk Committees on the risk profile and adherence to Appetite.
- Validate data and information in relevant reports provided by first line of defence, as appropriate.
- Provide independent challenge on, and insight from relevant reports to senior management.
