Production Cook

The position is based in Somerset West.

We are seeking a skilled Production Cook with a strong understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles to join our team. The Production Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking various food items in accordance with company recipes and specifications while strictly following HACCP guidelines to ensure food safety.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook food items according to company recipes and production schedules.
- Follow HACCP guidelines and procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of production.
- Monitor and record temperatures of food items during cooking and holding to ensure compliance with HACCP standards.
- Properly store and handle food products to prevent contamination and ensure freshness.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HACCP plans and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience working in a production kitchen or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work various departments as the company may need from time to time
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.

**Salary**: From R6,000.00 per month
