Exciting opportunity in Cape Town and Western Cape, South Africa, Mozambique, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, and Senegal with our client, the world’s leading classification society and a recognized advisor for the maritime industry. This position is responsible for completing periodic inspection of shipping containers and mechanical equipment (onshore and offshore) structural, and integrity surveys to meet governmental and International Convention for Safe Containers and environmental regulations. Manage all aspect of the job as required and adhere to clients' Health and safety standards and procedures at all time. This job will be based on clients' sites We also have positions in Mozambique, Angola, Nigeria, Ghana, Namibia, and Senegal

**Responsibilities**:

- Duties include, but not limited to:

- Check containers’ structural condition and integrity.
- Perform surveys and inspections offshore and onshore and examine containers to ensure maximum usability.
- Carry out testing and certification as needed.
- Availability for traveling inside and outside of the region, including voyage surveys.
- Ensure company technical policies and procedures are effectively administered in accordance with client's rules, guidelines, and quality requirements and the line management instructions.
- Maintain professional integrity and the confidentiality of all informations related to clients' business
- Write inspection reports and provide equipment survey reports to client.
- Adaptable to change and comfortable with technology and digital tools.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (required)

**Experience**:

- survey/inspection: 5 years (required)
