Purchasing of Products - To ensure that normal stock, buy-outs (special orders) and intercompany stock orders are placed and processed in line with store’s budgeted stock levels
- Manage Out of Stock and Low Stock Products - To ensure that there is sufficient stock on shelves according to minimum stock level guidelines
- Administration - To ensure effective administration with regards to all activities related to buying function (including updating all pricelists, maintain and reviewing records
- Supplier Chain Follow-up - To ensure effective communication and follow through on all orders to ensure delivery is achieved as per supplier lead times
- Coaching and supporting - To contribute to team success by assisting with knowledge transfer and coaching and mentoring of junior buyer and other relevant team members and contribute to professional growth of colleagues
- Coordination and Relationship Building - To proactively liaise and engage with supplier network and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure effective service delivery
- To uphold and promote the company values and culture

Grade 12 (essential);
Relevant post-school qualification (NQF5) ideally with a Retail/Procurement focus (desirable)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position in a computerised retail environment (essential)
