**Lodge Manager**

We are looking for a Lodge Manager to work with us

**What we're looking for**:
HostAgents is looking for a strong and motivated leader to join our team as a Manager

**Requirements for the role**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Accommodation Certificate/ Hotel School diploma
- 3 - 5 Years relevant management experience
- Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5 star lodge
- MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is essential

**Other skills you'll need**:

- Must have a SA ID
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own transport
- Reliable, responsible and dependable
- Must reside in or close to Stellenbosch
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to lead, take charge and offer direction and support to team
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Friendly and guest service orientated

**Tasks (include but not limited to)**:

- Setting and implementing performance standards and SOP’s throughout operations that will ensure absolute guest satisfaction in all departments
- Manage staff roster policy according to operational requirements
- Ensure productivity levels and standards are maintained
- Ensure smooth operation and management of the reception area
- Ensure that guests are greeted, checked in and allocated to the units promptly and courteously
- Ensure stock take and credit control procedures are strictly adhered to
- Ensure effective and speedy check out facilities
- Ensure that the switchboard is efficiently and effectively managed
- Ensure that all units are serviced and maintained to the standards
- Ensure all front of house areas are clean and tidy at all times
- Ensure the back of house is clean and free of clutter
- Ensure the smooth operation of Housekeeping daily
- Daily spot checks of apartments and rooms to ensure standards
- Checking all monthly stock takes for amenities, chemicals and linen for Housekeeping
- Reporting and follow up of all maintenance issues pending or outstanding
- Timely communication and reporting with HostAgents Head Office based in Bloubergstrand
- Must be willing to work hospitality shifts (weekends and public holidays), hospitality hours and overtime when requested
- Carrying out any other duties as may be reasonably required by management

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)
