Senior Manager- Corporate Communications

**KEY JOB FUNCTIONS**:
Management of the overall client’s Corporate Communications portfolio, as the overall client’s media liaison. The incumbent will be required to manage all deliverables related to product public relations, overall corporate public relations, as well as internal communications for the client’s Sales & Marketing staff. Critical skills required include excellent holistic communication and writing skills, superior networking and hosting abilities, project and budget management as well as people management. The incumbent will be supported by a team of 9 staff members and will report to the client’s Marketing Communications General Manager.
**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**:
**Corporate PR**:
- Overall corporate communication strategy to maintain and grow the profile of the client’s corporate and its respective
- Innovative and effective corporate event concepts and execution supported by holistic content strategies
- Oversight of corporate press releases and advertorial strategies.
- Corporate cross functional project management (business units & suppliers).
- Ongoing media networking and hosting, reputational management, executive communications support and select dealer communications.
**Product PR**:
- Creative and holistic product launch concepts and execution that supports vehicle positioning and ensures optimal media appeal and message take-out.
- Oversight of product press releases and strategic advertorial strategies.
- Oversight of the Marketing Communications fleet (incl. PR & sponsorship fleet).
**Internal Communications**:
- Management of internal communications portfolio to ensure progressive and effective communications solutions, to support overall staff morale and employee engagement.
- Ongoing innovative campaigns to establish annual corporate theme, support staff product engagement and establish corporate campaigns, including enviro and CSR strategy and project management.
**General**:
- Management and oversight of reporting staff to ensure an effective and engaged team that delivers on required outputs.
- Management of adherence to processes and compliance guidelines.
- Effective budget management.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication / Media Studies / Public Relations (or equivalent)
- 5 - 10 years’ relevant experience
- Extensive knowledge of overall media landscape (motoring, business, and lifestyle)
- Knowledge of the motor industry as well as sufficient technical background to support holistic product and industry communication
- PC literacy (MS Office advanced)
- Social media / digital media understanding
