**About the role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Project Manager to lead complex defence-related projects within the Electronic Warfare domain. This role is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring alignment with budget, scope, technical objectives, and customer expectations. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, monitor performance, and ensure projects are delivered with excellence, within defined timelines.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
- PMP certification (Project Management Institute) highly preferred.
- 3-5 years of project management experience, ideally in the Defence industry, with exposure to Electronic Warfare environments.
- Proven ability to manage operational performance, non-co-located teams, stakeholder expectations, and project team leadership.
- Experience using project execution and control tools such as Qmuzik or SAP is advantageous.

**Key Technical Skills**
- Expertise in project planning and control techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills (internal & external).
- Clear understanding of project lifecycles and structured delivery in engineering environments.
- Skilled in scope management, change control, and technical coordination.
- Proven competence in budget and cost control, project forecasting, and risk management.
- Ability to lead diverse teams including engineers, operators, technicians, and external vendors.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Project Execution & Delivery**
- Lead and maintain a structured project team and execution environment.
- Coordinate project kick-offs, define scope, and ensure formal requirement documentation.
- Manage performance using KPIs and project tools (Qmuzik/SAP).
- Deliver contractual milestones within time, budget, and technical parameters.
- Support contract negotiations related to scope and requirement changes.

**Planning & Technical Oversight**
- Lead project planning including resource allocation, budgeting, scheduling, risk and issue logging.
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and system teams to ensure delivery of technically sound solutions.
- Conduct gate reviews and maintain technical integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

**Reporting & Communication**
- Serve as the key liaison between internal teams and external clients.
- Provide regular project status updates covering technical, schedule, risk, and financial indicators.
- Report on project performance to internal stakeholders and customers.

**Project Closure**
- Conduct production readiness and project closure reviews.
- Finalise reporting on costs, budget, technical achievements, and lessons learned.
