**Educational experience**:

- Matric
- Logistics degree or relevant industry work experience

**Skills required**:

- Must be able to work independently, must be able to work under pressure
- High levels of communication skills
- Energetic and innovative
- Able to work long & flexible hours (seasonal)
- High level of computer skills (Datatim/Power Bi/MS Office/Qlikview)

**Experience required**:

- 3 years transport experience

**Key performance areas**:

- Packhouse Communication:_
- Receive daily orders 1 day in advance of planned loading
- Communicate packhouse eta’s and vehicle details to Packhouse (PH) manager
- Ensure all load numbers are communicated to PH Manager
- Daily feedback to Orbit Clients on status of en-route vehicles
- Phone PH at 10:00 to double check any possible additional loads
- Transporter management:_
- Get daily commitment from transporters
- Follow up on vehicles that must load on the day to ensure no delays
- Manage the price of ad-hocs to ensure season rate is under the Benchmark
- Ensure minimum ‘stand-over’ loads by identifying late vehicles and replacing them with new vehicles.
- Follow up on vehicles when loaded and on route to offloading point
- Operational:_
- All loads to be captured on Datatim/TMS
- All transporters to have load confirmation sent prior to vehicles leaving PH
- Book vehicle offloading slot in harbor, and communicate to transporter
- Ensure all vehicles that require harbor permits have valid permits
- Assist other departments in the Group with tracking information
- Assist coordinators of other areas with operational tasks
- Ensure that systems run smoothly. Keeping errors to a minimum. Drive developments
- Ensure everyone knows our systems and how it works and can resolve problems with mínimal assistance
- Administration:_
- Assist finance dept with POD data capturing when required
- Understand and follow claim process in place
- Assist manager where needed
