Core Description
Solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment by following the correct procedures, policies, and documentation requirements
Identify resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning and manage software and hardware availability
Provide technical training/guidance to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members
Task allocation and performance evaluation of team members
Meet with stakeholders and gather requirements, conduct regular team meetings and track project and operational progress
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
Provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
Prioritise and manage many open incidents at one time
Rapidly establish a good working relationship with customers
Test and evaluate new technology
Configure and Network routers and switches Functional Skills
Linux
Windows Operating Systems
MAC OS
Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
Remote Desktop Services
Ability to facilitate complex technical problems
Good knowledge of client/server architectures and various compatibility requirements.
2 to 3 years’ experience in working in the ICT technical support environment
Previous storeman experience
Certifications / Professional Registration None Special Requirements/ Employment Condition Valid Drivers license Work Characteristics Billable
