**Job Title**: Operations Assistant

**Location**: Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Africa

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department, including scheduling, transportation, and delivery of services.
- Assist and oversee the maintenance and repair of the business assets and property.
- Ensure the timely delivery of products and services to our guests, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Manage a team of drivers, conductors, and other logistics personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders and regulators to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations governing our operations.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory, transportation, and delivery.
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures contributing to efficiency and productivity within the operations department.
- Monitor and manage the maintenance and repair of our vehicles and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the operations department.

**Requirements**:

- National Senior Certificate (Matric), N3-6, or other certificates.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desired
- A qualified mechanic is advantageous.
- Willing to relocate to Franschhoek if not located within WC Winelands Area.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
- 5+ years of experience working in operations and management.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair of vehicles, people & fleet management, and working with external stakeholders and regulators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Franschhoek, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- 5 Years (preferred)
