Digitech Assurance Director

**_Job Purpose:_**
The Digitech Assurance Director will be responsible for overseeing the IT audit function, digital transformation and implementing data analytics activities within SNG Grant Thornton. This involves assessing and reviewing our clients IT systems, controls, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Additionally, the Digitech Assurance Director will be responsible for leveraging data analytics tools and techniques to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of audit procedures, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement.
The Directors responsibilities will include:
**1. BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Give input into the strategic direction of the organisation / business
- Develop and maintain the IT audit strategy and roadmap for the firm, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and risk management framework.
- Focus on growth strategies
- Align strategy of talent to the strategy of the department
- Lead and mentor a team of IT auditors, providing guidance and support in executing audits and ensuring the timely completion of audit assignments
- Develop and implement digitisation strategies including data analytics strategies to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns within audit data, enhancing audit procedures' precision and relevance.
- Collaborate with audit teams to integrate data analytics into the overall audit approach, leveraging automation tools, data visualization, and analytics techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes related to IT audit and data analytics, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to clients IT systems and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Manage strategic projects
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT departments, risk management, and compliance teams, to identify control gaps and facilitate the implementation of corrective actions.
- Train and educate audit staff on IT audit methodologies, data analytics tools, techniques, and emerging trends, enhancing their skills and knowledge in these areas.
- Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations, and reports to senior management and audit committees, facilitating decision-making and promoting transparency.
- Monitor budgets for the year.
**2. CUSTOMER AND STAKEHOLDER ACCOUNTABILITIES**

- Provide clients with an integrated business solution
- Be a strategic account leader
- Innovation to distinguish firm from the competition in the marketplace
- Provide relevant information in strategic meetings to clients, CEO, Chair and potential clients
**3. OPERATIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
- Co-ordinate resources through client databases and the like
- Follow good governance policies
- Investigate the latest updates and developments in industry
- Ensure compliance of client
- Review reports to ensure that they meet the quality standards of the firm

- Quality check and sign off proposals prior to them being released to clients
- Comply with business processes and customer management processes
- Ensure WIP updated timeously, billings performed timeously and debtors timeously collected
- Ensure quality review processes met in respect of review processes
**4. PEOPLE AND LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Build and lead a high-performing team of Digitech Assurance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders and directors, to identify and address their IT and data analytics needs, ensuring alignment with their strategic goals.
- As and when interaction is required to meet with the MD and service line leaders
- Feedback on progress and projects to MD on weekly/monthly basis
- Lead, energise and inspire people
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency
- Empower staff and train others
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Digitech Assurance team, encouraging innovation and seeking out opportunities to enhance processes and technologies.

**_ Minimum Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CA (SA)
