**Who we’re looking for**

We’re looking for a full-time Junior E-commerce Content Copywriter to join our in-house Content Team. If you’re looking for a role where you’ll have opportunities to learn from an experienced team and work closely with seasoned copywriters and ecommerce content creators, then this may be the role for you. This position is based at our Westlake HQ, and you would work in office three times a week, with two days a week from home.

**What your role looks like**

Taking direction from our Content Manager, you’ll spend the bulk of your time writing and editing high-quality product descriptions and specs for product pages. This means:

- Making sure that we have all the content we need to list a new product to Yuppiechef's high standards and making existing product pages better
- Assisting in managing and trafficking our inbound product reviews — an area of the customer experience we value highly, and from which we learn a great deal
- Occasionally assisting in proactive category and brand management tasks by researching and developing content and filterable features for them
- Working alongside our Content Editors and our Photography team (we write all our product copy, and style, photograph and edit everything in-house, by grafting hard, collaborating and hitting deadlines
- As our store teams use our product pages to support customers to make the best choices past on their needs and desires, the writer role plays a pivotal part in supporting both employee and customer education too

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Experience**:

- Required: One to two years experience writing copy professionally — e.g. working for a newspaper, magazine or online publication with high readership — with a strong portfolio to back this up
- Advantageous: At least two years working for another e-commerce retailer in a similar role

**Qualifications**:

- Required: Relevant work experience writing copy and content research, and having some evidence of this in the form of a portfolio of publicly published work
- Advantageous: If they happen to have a tertiary qualification in English, communication, copywriting or journalism that would be advantageous, as well as any experience working with content management systems

**Skills**:

- Excellent copywriting and communication skills
- Technical savvy, with an interest in the behind the scenes of e-commerce
- An ability to research and make sense of product content and specs
- Excellent verbal and written skills (English)
- An ability to manage your own time and deliverables
