The **Lab Technician - Clinical Trials** is responsible for processing, handling, and analyzing biological samples collected during clinical research studies. This role ensures that laboratory procedures comply with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and regulatory requirements. The lab technician works closely with clinical research teams, investigators, and sponsors to maintain data accuracy and laboratory integrity.

**Key Responsibilities:Sample Collection & Processing**:

- Receive, label, and process biological samples (e.g., blood, urine, tissue) according to study protocols.
- Prepare and store specimens in appropriate conditions (e.g., refrigeration, freezing).
- Perform centrifugation, aliquoting, and other sample preparation techniques.

**Laboratory Testing & Analysis**:

- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests as per trial requirements.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and quality control.
- Document and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.

**Compliance & Quality Assurance**:

- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP), and regulatory guidelines (FDA, ICH, IRB).
- Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and safety in compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials and biohazard waste.

**Data Management & Documentation**:

- Record and maintain detailed laboratory logs, test results, and sample tracking information.
- Assist in preparing laboratory reports for clinical research teams and sponsors.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with study protocols.

**Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with clinical trial coordinators, investigators, and research nurses to ensure proper sample collection and handling.
- Communicate any discrepancies, issues, or deviations from study protocols to the clinical research team.
- Participate in study meetings and contribute to laboratory-related discussions.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, or a related field.
- 1-3+ years of experience as a lab technician, preferably in clinical research or clinical trials.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, sample processing, and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Registered with HPSCA

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
