**How you'll role**

As the SEO Specialist, you'll become a vital member of the dynamic marketing team, pushing the boundaries of success for this innovative online sports betting brand operating in regulated markets globally. Based in Johannesburg, the team markets the brand with unbridled passion across Africa, Latin America, and Europe, reaching new heights of recognition and success. Your role will be to take the lead in monitoring, supporting, and elevating the technical SEO performance of the company's websites to unleash a torrent of traffic growth through savvy, results-driven search strategies. With an intimate understanding of the sports betting industry and a mastery of the products offered by the company, combined with sharp marketing and analytical skills, you'll be poised to drive business growth and achieve unprecedented levels of success.

**What you'll do**
- Develop, implement, and optimise SEO strategies and initiatives for a variety of company-owned and managed websites
- On-page and off-page optimisation of websites
- Perform keyword optimisation as well as ongoing keyword discovery and expansion
- Research and implement SEO recommendations for content optimisation
- Drive traffic and increase ROI through competitive analysis, content creation, and link building
- Develop, implement, and track SEO campaigns, both in testing and live platforms
- Identify opportunities and develop plans/protocols for implementing scalable SEO growth
- Conduct in-depth site audits, identify technical SEO opportunities, and troubleshoot business critical fixes
- Provide regular reports on campaign metrics
- Stay abreast of search engine guidelines, industry trends, all search engine algorithm updates, and online behaviour and trends

**What you'll need**
- 3+ years of technical SEO experience
- A degree or diploma in marketing or a similar relevant qualification
- Advanced knowledge of SEO methodologies and best practices
- Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot onsite issues impacting site performance
- An understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
- Knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
- Strong HTML skills
- A high degree of business acumen
- Consistent high standard and quality of work with a strong focus on results
- The ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven, high-pressure environment
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- To be extremely detail oriented and well organised
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
