**Job Description: Plant Manager**

Melki is a diverse group of companies with expertise in various industries including civils, construction, Plant Hire and Property Development. We require an experienced Plant Manager.

Aspects, ranging but not limited to, planning, organization, control and client relations to the plant hire division.

**Responsibilities**:

- Planning, organizing, and running optimum day-to-day operations of trucks/lowbeds and yellow metal plant hire
- Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
- Should have mechanical knowledge to engage with mechanics
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Commit to plant safety procedures and oversee plant workshop repair schedule
- Have mechanical knowledge to engage with mechanics and carry out plant inspections
- Communicate and monitor breakdowns and costs
- Oversee Licencing, Tracker, and Insurance records
- Have admin knowledge on costing/profitability, sales invoicing and wages and salaries
- Experience in marketing and workshop management
- Control the Plant where abouts and ensure that all records are kept for accurate invoicing
- Insurance
- Ensure that all Plant and Vehicles are insured and remove when either sold or written off etc.

Additional skills and attributes
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to converse well in English & Zulu
- Proficient in Microsoft 365

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Minimum 10 years yellow plant and trucks operations experience
- Have mechanical knowledge to engage with mechanics
- Proven knowledge of Plant hire industry a

**Salary**: Up to R360,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
