Well established manufacturing concern in Durban, part of a large industrial conglomerate is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Managing Director.

The role:

- Strategic planning: Developing and implementing the company's long term strategic plan and ensuring that the company meets its financial goals.
- Operations management: Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business to ensure efficiency and profitability, including production, supply chain management, and quality control.
- Sales and marketing: Developing and executing sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Financial management: Managing the company's financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Human resources management: Recruiting, training, and managing a team of employees to ensure that they are motivated, productive, and aligned with the company's goals.
- Regulatory compliance: Ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including environmental regulations, health and safety regulations, and labor laws.
- Customer relations: Building and maintaining relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Research and development: Leading research and development efforts to innovate and improve the company's products and processes.
- Stakeholder relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including shareholders, suppliers, and local communities.
- Continuous improvement: Continuously monitoring and improving the company's operations, processes, and products to ensure that the company remains competitive and profitable.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
- 10 years plus experience essential
- Manufacturing experience as an MD
