Faircape Life is currently recruiting for a** Senior **Site Agent **to manage internal construction projects at our luxury lifestyle village within the **Southern Suburbs **of** Cape Town.**

**Requirements**:
Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Plan projects and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays
- Maintaining an excellent standard of quality and building according to project specifications
- Oversee renovations, refurbishments and small works of units in the villages as well as maintenance
- Manage all on site labour
- Perform full pre-inspection to ensure that the site meet the legislated construction regulations
- Ensuring that the sites are neat and orderly and adhering to the various working time protocols and procedures
- Forward planning of subcontractor and material order requirements
- Utilise sound technical knowledge in assessment of building plans and bills of quantities and make recommendations according building and construction methodologies
- Procure adequate resources both labour and materials according the project requirement
- Preparation of resource and material schedules for procurement.
- Develop, implement, manage and update effective programming of the works
- Preparation of resource and material schedules for procurement.
- Effectively manage and monitor production according to the project timeline, aligning variations
- Operate within approved budgets and report on potential variations.
- Manage health & safety aspects of the project
- Professionally represent the employer at external stakeholders i.e sub-contractors, local authorities, and or clients
- Perform site close-out ensuring and providing documentation according to contracts requirements
- Weekly and monthly report writing according to the company's requirements
- Produce procurement schedules to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks

Sub-Contractors and Site Foreman:

- Supervises and coordinates additional contracted personnel as necessary
- Schedules and monitors all subcontractors and required inspections
- Informs and assigns Site foreman to specific tasks

**Qualifications**:

- Construction related qualification advantageous

**Experience and Knowledge**:

- Proven managerial experience as a site agent or similar in working on residential construction sites
- Experience using construction programmes
- Knowledge of construction processes and project specifications
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- On-site experience

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Ability to manage a labour force and multiple subcontractors
- Skilled in the preparation of construction programs.
- Ability to start site set up and setting out of projects
- Problem-solving
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Being able to work as part of a team
- Highly organized
- Strong written skills
- Previous leadership position advantageous

**Specific Requirements**:

- Own reliable transport
- Clear health record
- Clear criminal record
- Clear credit record
- Vaccinated against covid-19 or prepared to be vaccinated prior to commencing job

Normal working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 08h00 until 17h00 with a 45-minute lunch break and required to be on standby for emergencies over weekends.

Salary on offer from R 50 000.00 Cost to Company per month, salary will be dependent on qualifications, experience, skills and attributes.
