**Job Purpose**

To manage and direct a team in the delivery of Documentary Trade & Trade Finance products and services for Juristic clients. As the international Trade landscape continues to evolve, this role will be focused on the delivery of both existing and new Trade products/services, while ensuring an optimal client experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Subject matter expert, with a good understanding of Documentary Trade & Trade Finance products/services (Note - products would include, but limited to, Documentary Trade, Structured Trade, Guarantees, Trade Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Bank Risk products, etc.)
- Research and analysis of local and international market trends within the trade industry
- Deep understanding and appreciation for Juristic customer needs from a Trade & Working Capital perspective
- Understanding of existing and emerging technologies across the Trade landscape
- Develop a unique and compelling value proposition, product strategy and roadmap for trade products and solutions
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and develop business cases to support strategic initiatives
- Management and coordination of activities relating to the rollout of new products, product enhancements and compliance initiatives (with specific focus on the digitisation of trade, new trade business models, technology opportunities, etc.)
- Drive execution against strategic product plans
- Management of activities related to product onboarding, marketing collateral, pricing, product fulfilment and servicing
- Ability to monitor and manage product profitability (i.e., supporting income generating activities, while driving cost efficiencies)
- Proactively collaborate and develop synergies with stakeholders across the value chain to meet client and business needs (including, but not limited to, active collaboration with Sales, Operations and Technology counterparts)
- Ensure service delivery is in line with agreed SLA’s
- Drive relevant communications related to product changes or new product implementations
- Ensure that all financial, budget and reporting requirements are met
- Represent Nedbank at local and international Trade forums / associations
- People management & team leadership (i.e., management of Direct Reports)

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree

Preferred Qualification

B.Comm Honours in Financial Management and/or MBA

Minimum Experience Level
- 6 - 10 years’ experience in Documentary Trade / Trade Finance
- Documentary Trade / Trade Finance product management experience
- Robust understanding of Documentary Trade, Guarantees, Trade Finance and Supply chain finance products and services
- Experience working on large, complex initiatives
