Senior Project Manager

To manage and oversee the delivery of engineering and/or maintenance projects which provides continual business improvement and change management
- Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures, and practices
- Perform project scoping, define project tasks, goals, and deliverables
- Define projects success criteria and disseminate them to involve parties throughout project life cycle
- Oversee project evaluations and assessment of results
- Comply with Safety, Health and Environment standards
- Lead a cross-functional project team that will deliver and be accountable for the achievement of milestones and quality of the contracted scope
- Serving as the primary contact with the customer for progress and governance
- Assesses, monitors, and reports on risk throughout the project and identifies and implements mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and within customer expectations for quality and functionality
- Manage the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
- Linking Project to Commercial Contractual requirements
- Financial Management and Reporting of Project Costs versus Budget
- Lead project progress and steering committee meetings
- Creation of Project Plans and Execution Schedules
- Managing ROD register and updating status
- Managing Risk Register and updating
- Track schedule with critical path identification with development of contingencies
- Escalating critical risk items to Exco steercom
- Presentation of high-level reports to Exco on schedule, financing, Risks
- Ensuring Det Eng Packs documentation is controlled with changes recorded

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- BSc, B Tech Degree, Higher National Diploma in Engineering or engineering Diploma, Degree or Project Management Professional qualification with proven experience in management of projects in the Water industry
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the engineering field, mainly in water industry Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
- Knowledge of the OHS Act and Explosive Act
- In-depth knowledge of project management in a multi-disciplinary environment
- Sound knowledge of engineering principles and standards
- Sound knowledge and understanding of managing performance within a project environment
- Advanced MS Projects
- 5 years Project Management experience with a proven track record in managing high level and strategic projects
- Knowledge of typical engineering contract format such as NEC3, GCC 2015
- Fluent in English and French
