NRG 49/25 Head
**Requirements**:

- BSc (Hons) or BEng in Electrical Engineering.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
- 10 years’ postgraduate technical and managerial experience

with extensive exposure to electrical distribution equipment
and electrical distribution infrastructure.
- Extensive knowledge of power system engineering and related

disciplines and of the theoretical and practical aspects of
electrical distribution equipment and technologies, and of
related standards.
- Excellent technical and personnel management skills.
- Proficiency in compiling and managing capital budgets.
- Sound project management skills.
- Sound knowledge of safety legislation and practice.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent report writing ability.
- Financial analysis expertise.
- A high degree of computer literacy.
- Valid Driver's licence: Code B.

Key Performance Areas
- Overseeing all technical and non-technical functions,

including planning, organizing, directing, and administering
tasks.
- Involves evaluating, interviewing, selecting, and delegating

work to staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence
to standards.
- Ensures adherence to policies, safety practices, and

compliance with legislation, including correct use of
personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Research and assess equipment requirements, workshop

proposed technologies and prepare technical bulletins

and standards in distribution equipment and practices,
liaises with internal and external stakeholders, and ensures
compliance with industry standards.
- Oversees the supply chain for acquiring strategic distribution

equipment, including evaluating designs, managing tenders,
and ensuring compliance with specifications.
