**Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa Limited (MRoA) has been operating in South Africa for 50 years, although the Munich Re (Group) was active on the Continent via Munich Re in Munich for some years prior to commencing the Southern African operation in Johannesburg in 1968. The Head Office of MRoA is in Johannesburg, with a client service Life office situated in Cape Town.**

Your job
- Developing and growing a sustainable book of business and exploiting new business potentials through active development of relationships with clients and brokers in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Underwriting of facultative property business, including assessing of risk, evaluating and providing reinsurance terms and conditions, in accordance with the applicable underwriting authority, underwriting guidelines, internal directives, targets and client strategies.
- Organizing and contributing to seminars/workshops for clients and internal staff, providing clients with value-added services.
- Assisting the treaty team in evaluating special treaty acceptance requests from a technical point of view as and when required.
- Investigating and evaluating portfolio performance and market analysis.
- Maintaining and expanding technical and market know-how.

**Profile**:

- Business degree and/or suitable insurance qualifications such as ACII/AIISA
- Minimum of 8 years professional experience in Facultative / Single Risk Property (Re) Insurance
- Expert communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Good IT and analytical skills
- Negotiation skills, strong teamwork skills and a willingness to share knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Solution-oriented with a focused, proactive and efficient work style
