Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa Limited (MRoA) has been operating in South Africa for 50 years, although the Munich Re (Group) was active on the Continent via Munich Re in Munich for some years prior to commencing the Southern African operation in Johannesburg in 1968. The Head Office of MRoA is in Johannesburg, with a client service Life office situated in Cape Town.

Your job
- The role is responsible for underwriting of new and renewal of existing business in standard risk classes and together with the facultative team, developing and maintaining a profitable Facultative Fire portfolio.
- Assist in in developing and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Provide underwriters with back up support on administrative duties, reporting, client follow up and other tasks assigned by the underwriting team and / or management.
- Gain full understanding of what constitutes valid and technically accurate underwriting to develop appropriate levels of underwriting skill and technical competency.
- Assist in organising and conducting seminars / workshops, for external clients and internal stakeholders, to enhance levels of Underwriting

**Profile**:

- Tertiary Business degree and preferably AIISA
- Three years’ experience in (re) insurance in underwriting
- Negotiation skills, strong teamwork skills and a willingness to share knowledge
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
- Solution-oriented with a focused, proactive and efficient work style
