This job is based in Johannesburg, South Africa and will be responsible for the Logistics and Expediting functions for Sub Saharan Africa and other regions when needed.

Responsible for all logistics and support on all expediting activities for the Discrete Automation Business in the region. Across the portfolios of ASCO, AVENTICS, TOPWORX, TESCOM, PLC SCADA products and solutions. Also other products when required.

**Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Undertake responsibilities to support operations for the warehouse & logistics activities
- Ensure delivery of materials, equipment or services meet with the production schedules
- Coordinate with internal and/or external customers and suppliers to ensure on time delivery of acceptable product and resolve issues
- Expediate material as requested by the Customer Service and/or Production Groups
- Complete the necessary documentation and communicate to the appropriate personnel when returns, exchanges or credits are required
- Receive shipments from the courier and ensure quantities are matching with the documentation
- Picking & Packing of order entries
- Packing of invoiced items for courier collections
- Issue all relevant documentation to procurement and in ternal sales for completion
- Picking of works orders
- Adhere to local and international Emerson trade compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices
- Participate in internal meetings, promoting the warehouse & logistics best practices
- Ensure all shipments happen through the most efficient and timely manner adhering to Emerson Corporate logistics process and procedures and compliance norms
- Work closely with freight forwarders and customs / Govt. officials for permits & documentations needed for all shipments
- Provide shipment tracking details to projects / operations on a regular basis
- Keep a record for customs for all FLMC related Bill of Entry
- Work closely with the warehouse team for all inbound or outbound shipments
- Any other functions as deemed necessary by your supervisor from time to time
- Ensure you comply with Ethics, Trade Compliance, Quality Assurance and Health & Safety policies; guarantee that Business meets Emerson Policies and local Legislation. Promote a positive Company image

**What do I need to be considered for this role?
- Minimum 3 to 5+ years in a warehouse & logistics role
- Solid computer skills, Microsoft Outlook & Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be proficient in English
- Strong experience with ability to understand customer(s) and the Emerson business environment
- Warehouse/Logistics qualification with ERP (Oracle preferred) system experience.
