South Africa, Western Cape - Northern Suburbs - (Market related, Negotiable) The Manager is overall responsible for the Scaffolding Project at Koeberg Education and Training Worked on and be registered at KOEBERG A minimum of a Grade 12 (Matric) qualification is required, with above average numeracy and literacy. A Project Management certification or similar is an advantage. Certificate in Insulation, Access, Corrosion Protection, or similar industrial is preferred. Training or track record in operational HSE and Quality aspects is required. The Site Manager must meet and maintain at all times the Company and Eskom entry requirements to KOEBERG Power Station Technical Requirements Demonstrable commercial acumen over a wide range of contracting conditions, such as FIDIC, NEC and customer bespoke agreements is mandatory. Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans is required, with ablack language being an advantage. Be computer literate on Microsoft Excel (or be able to attain the required computer literacy within a reasonable and stipulated period). Be able to work methodically and accurately with above average attention to detail. The ability to delegate. Good communication skills a requirement. Local plant knowledge a necessity. Experience At least 5 years relevant experience in the industrial services, MEP or SMP industry is a requirement. **Responsibilities**: Participate in Company Lean Management Programme and establish “best practice" for development. Carry out a thorough review of all processes and procedures currently being used by the Company and review where improvements could be made to increase efficiency. Planning, monitoring of the site, in order to ensure that work is executed within the budgets allowed and in accordance with the contractual programme. Ensure that Industrial Relations are maintained and that grievances not resolved at site level are handled in accordance with the company policy and where required, chair disciplinary hearings. Ensure all site work complies with QCP’s specifications, drawings, codes, client instructions etc and maintain suitable records thereof. Ensure no additional work is carried out without the appropriate written authority from the client. Ensure that daily commercial change control is regulated and additional works and or standing and delays are captured in accordance with the requirements of the contract and paid monthly in the payment certificate. Maintain commercial reporting requirements as a minimum of: PRM Presentation on template monthly Sales Ratio Variation orders Debtors Daily costing + look ahead planning Estimated Final Value and cost Under/Overclaim details Materials on site register/Stock Under/overstated cost register Alignment of financial WIP to project WIP Productivity on unit rated work Tracking of delays Standing time approvals and invoicing Absenteeism reports Payment Certification Invoice Register Implement LEAN and DPMS systems on site to a minimum maturity level with demonstrated ability to provide LEAN and DPMS saving to set KPI’s - For more information please contact: - Les Jones
