**Job Purpose**
**Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI
- Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems and policies and support implementation of new processes, policies and systems
- Escalate, resolve and close outages/problems telephonically to supervisor/manager and record on Incident Management Tool (IMT)Build relationships through liaising with relevant support areas and management
- Provide client service through the issuing and resetting of emergency passwords with relevant authorisation when required and record actions on Incident Management Tool (IMT), and by validating files from Head Office and Support areas
- Keep managers and relevant stakeholders up to date on major outages or significant events
- Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and demonstrate the values through interaction with team and stakeholders
- Ensure information is provided correctly to stakeholders
- Suggest improvements to process, procedures, standards and automation as well as input on improvements on systems run time
- Escalate non-adherence to SLAs to third line support, and inform line manager of escalation
- Identify and resolve outages by escalating to third line support and management to ensure and follow up
- Ensure online availability for new day as per SLAs
- Monitor system performance and make recommendations
- Ensure back-end online programmes are terminated within specified time lines and do batch processing as per internal process, procedures and standards
- Restore service by providing feedback to Incident and Problem Management on outages on various platforms
- Oversee the monitoring all batches on various platforms via monitoring tools
- Oversee queries and operations on ATMs/ SSTs and distributed environment
- Manage risk by capturing all outages on IMT and proactively monitoring various platforms
- Ensure work is completed
- Provide support through reporting on starting, ending and updates of changes on daily dashboard
- Ensure speedy recovery in case of Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Ensure optimum mainframe activity by managing System Maintenance (IPLs) in conjunction with the relevant support area
- Ensure SMS notification for critical outages are sent out
- Ensure all SLA' are met
- Mitigate risk by recording all outages on IMT and provide first line technical support
- Resolve issues through fault finding and proactive monitoring of the system
- Take corrective action by restoring IMT when outage is resolved
- Provide smooth handover by recording and preparing all major outages that occurred or are still outstanding on the handover document
**Essential Qualifications - NQF Level**
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
**Preferred Qualification**
- Relevant IT Diploma/Degree
