The Flexographic Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

**Key Performance Areas**:

- Coordinate the activities of the Print Assistant, Floater and Make Ready Crew.
- Ensure all Health and Safety Rules are always complied with.
- Ensure pre
- make, make ready and set up processes take place in the shortest possible time to produce products that always conform to all specifications at the maximum possible speed whilst minimizing waste.
- Do quality checks to ensure products consistently conform to all specifications.
- Ensure the ISO 22000 (where applicable) Environmental Management Systems policies, procedures and SOPs are always adhered to.
- Ensure all events that occur on and / or affect the machine during a shift is logged accurately (duration and description, product, and quality).
- Ensure that the required machine maintenance is reported and carried out.
- Ensure machines are lubricated as per scheduled standards.
- Ensure that all tasks allocated by the production shift leader/ production manager are executed effectively.
- Ensure that efficiencies are maintained at all times.
- Be open to multi-skilling.

**Minimum Educational/Experience Requirements**

- Matric Certificate.
- Must be qualified Flexographic Printer.
- High levels of accuracy.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to perceive the full range of colors.
- Must be willing and able to work the required shifts.
- Reasonable level of numeracy; Accurate record keeping.
- Ability to communicate in English including reading and neat handwriting.
- Must be able to solve problems.
- Must Flexible.
- Be accountable and responsible.
