**We are recruiting for a qualified and highly motivated Junior Swimming Assistant.**

Position overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic **Junior Swimming Assistant** to join our Team. The Junior Swimming Assistant will assist in providing high-quality swimming instruction to students, teaching them essential water safety and swimming techniques while cultivating a love and appreciation for swimming.

**Responsibilities**:

- Teach swimming lessons to students using proper techniques and methods to ensure safety and skill development.
- Provide structured and engaging lessons that meet the needs of students at various skill levels.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback on areas for improvement to help them achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements, and communicates this information to parents/guardians as needed.
- Ensure the safety of all students in and around the pool area, enforcing safety rules and responding to emergencies if necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area, including pool equipment and teaching aids, to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.

**Requirements**:
1. **Experience**: At least 2 years’ experience in same or similar role.

2. **Qualification**:
National Senior Certificate;
Current certification in CPR and First Aid (Level 1);
LTS Swimming Qualification would be advantageous.

3. **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.

4. **Ability to commute/relocate**: The Reeds, Centurion. (Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work).

5. A clear criminal record is essential.

6. A willingness to contribute to the values and ethos of the School.
