Our client, an upmarket children's store based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking for a Sales Associate. Duties include serving customers by helping them select products and driving sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.

Job Responsibilities:

- Serves customers by helping them select products.
- Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
- Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner.
- Responds to customers’ questions.
- Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters.
- Provides outstanding customer service.
- Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records.
- Manages financial transactions via our point of sales system and banking pay points.
- Processes payments by totalling purchases, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards.
- Monitoring the shop for any incidences of shop lifting.
- Alerts management of potential security issues.
- Ensuring all stock and the store are clean at all times.
- Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking and replenishing merchandise.
- Taking photographs daily of stock for Instagram and Facebook.
- Promoting the store loyalty programme.
- Keeps clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest.
- Keeps the manager and owner informed of all customer product requests and customer feedback.
- A fun, energised work environment where new exciting products are continually being unpacked.
- Some weekend & public holiday work is required.

**Requirements**:

- University Degree
- 1+ years customer service experience, showing passion for the environment and products
