**Position Title**: Store Manager

**Job Summary**:The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the overall success of a grocery store. This position involves managing staff, implementing store policies, optimizing customer service, and achieving financial targets. The Store Manager must create a positive and efficient work environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Operational Management**:Oversee day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Ensure the store is adequately stocked and inventory levels are maintained.
Monitor product quality and freshness.
Implement and enforce safety and sanitation standards.

**Team Leadership**:Recruit, train, and manage store staff.
Schedule and assign tasks to employees.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.

**Customer Service**:Implement and uphold excellent customer service standards.
Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns.
Train staff in effective customer engagement.

**Financial Management**:Develop and manage the store budget.
Monitor sales and expenses to achieve financial targets.
Implement strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs.

**Merchandising and Marketing**:Plan and execute product displays and promotions.
Monitor market trends and adjust inventory accordingly.
Collaborate with the marketing team to implement advertising campaigns.

**Compliance and Regulations**:
Implement and enforce store policies and procedures.
Maintain a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.

**Communication**:Communicate regularly with corporate offices, suppliers, and vendors.
Conduct regular staff meetings to disseminate information and address concerns.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in grocery store management or a similar retail environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and customer service principles.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.

**Working Conditions**:The position involves working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The Store Manager may need to be on-call for emergencies or issues requiring immediate attention.

**Salary**: From R8 000,00 per month
