**INTERNAL & EXTERNAL VACANCY : ENROLLED NURSE**

We are seeking to employ a dynamic and energetic Enrolled Nurse at a Care Centre located at a Retirement resort in Century City, Cape Town. The required Enrolled Nurse will promote and deliver quality elderly patient care and wellness in accordance with industry standards and to execute Nursing duties within the standards, procedures and protocols set down by the South African Nursing Council.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure day to day management of the unit
- Administrator medication under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Ensure all patients/residents charts are up to date.
- Assist doctors on rounds and ensure that orders are adhered to.
- Observe and interpret patient’s/residents’ symptoms and communicate them to nursing manager/doctor/registered nurse
- Supervise ENA’s and Care Givers.
- Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections, wound care etc.) and update patient/resident’s chart.
- Assist the registered nurse with training nursing staff and Carers.
- Assist patients/residents during meal times.
- Enhance infection control in the unit
- General administrative duties.

**Requirements**:

- Valid SANC registration as an Enrolled Nurse
- 5 years’ experience as an Enrolled Nurse
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Proven experience of elderly care, Alzheimer’s/Dementia and frail care
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.)
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
