An Emalahleni (Witbank) based client operating in the metal and engineering sector is in search of a Payroll Administrator to join their team with immediate effect.
**Duties**:
- Complete weekly payroll runs for approximately 500 wage employees
- Ensure that all payroll processing documents for the week are received timeously and administered correctly
- Update clocking system with missing clocks daily
- Verify the authorizations and correctness of the overtime on the clocking system
- Ensure that new employees are loaded onto the system and complete all employee system terminations
- Complete monthly reconciliations of Bargaining Council deduction to Health Care, Providence Fund, Union fees and other applicable deductibles.
- Complete administration and payments of staff garnishees and maintenance orders
- Confirm that legally mandated and optional deductions have been processed correctly.
- Compete the bi - annual and annual tax year end submissions and reconciliations
- Timeously submit stats reports
- Prepare payroll reports as requested by management
- Prepare UIF forms and certificates of services for terminations
- Liaise with staff and management on payroll related queries
- Resolve payment discrepancies with urgency
- Liaise with Bargaining Council regularly to ensure that the rules are being abide to
- Ensure that payroll deadlines are met on a monthly or weekly basis
- Distribute employee payslips
- Fulfil clerical tasks such as filing and archiving of files
- Fulfil any other allocated adhoc duties
**Minimum requirements and attributes**:
- 2 - 5 years’ payroll administration experience on VIP Premier or Sage 300
- Relevant HR/Payroll tertiary qualification
- Sound knowledge of South African tax legislations
- Ability to give sound advice on payroll processing laws and regulations
- Experience with Bargaining Councils (Preferably the Metal and Engineering Industries Bargaining Council)
- Proficient in Excel
- Have an affinity for numbers and a passion for promoting business operations
- Work well independently and within a team
- Integrity, dignity, good communication skills and trustworthiness are essential
- Must be a meticulous individual that is able to multitask and work well under pressure.
- **_Must have own car, a valid driver’s license and reside in Emalahleni or be willing to relocate._**

- Witbank, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
