**Main Purpose**

To provide the business with accurate financial information & models to support the business in making informed financial & investment decisions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ongoing engagement & partnering with business, ensuring strong two way communication of finance requirements from the business and a strong understanding of link between operational drivers and business performance.
- Delivery and support in annual planning process including:

- Annual medium term plan and short term plan processes
Value adding finance input to support translation of strategic objectives into KPI’s, financial targets and forecasts.
- Support and deliver periodic re-forecasts ensuring that latest operational drivers are understood and considered and highlighting risks & opportunities.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the company strategy and build robust models and business cases to support and enable value adding recommendations/insights for both short term and long term initiatives and projects.
- Follow up on approved business initiatives to assess and report on performance against financial KPI’s
- Supporting cost centre owners to make informed financial decisions for initiatives aligned to companies strategy and operating plans.
- Supporting cost centre managers to make informed financial decisions with regards to their annual budget and revised forecasts.
- Build and maintain financial models which accurately forecast project and business performance.
- Support and drive business case governance in the business.

**Key Competencies**

Technical Skills (essential):

- Business and commercial understanding including analytical ability to identify key value drivers and measures of success.
- Financial modelling skills including - building of robust financial models based on business value drivers, including income statements, cash flows, balance sheets and financial metrics and KPIs.
- Understand financial processes and systems (General Ledger, Sub-ledgers, Budgeting etc.)
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Database skills (Access, SAS, Oracle)
- Ensuring all business processes are considered when presenting financial outcomes to multiple stakeholders in the business

**Behavioural** Skills**

- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Accuracy and attention to detail.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION**
- Relevant Financial qualification e.g. BComm Finance/or equivalent
- CA (SA)

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Minimum of 2 years (post-articles) experience in either a commercial or professional services role preferably with Financial/Management accounting experience.
- Engagement with multiple stakeholders in the business in order to deliver on objectives.
- Experience in building robust financial models
- Experience within the Financial Services industry would be preferred
