**The IIE Varsity College, Westville Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Lecturer within the Computer Science school for the 2025 Academic year.**
- PROG6221 (Programming 2A)
- PROG7311 (Programming 3A)
- PROG7313 (Programming 3C)

**Competencies Required**:

- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the current state of research in the Information Systems field.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of various research methods, theories and frameworks used in the Information Systems field.
- Be able to evaluate the appropriateness of specific methods, theories and frameworks for use in given Information Systems research projects and contexts.
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Presentation Skills.
- Assertiveness and dynamism.
- Understanding of customer service in education.
- Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively.

**Proficiency in the Following Technologies**:

- Java
- Open Source Application Development - Android (ReactNative, Kotlin, etc.)
- Database Systems (SQL, Oracle, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, etc.)
- NET (C#,.NET Core, ASP.net MVC, Blazor, UWP)
- Operating Systems (Windows/Linux)
- Visual Studio 2022 and Visual Studio Code

**Minimum Education Requirements**:

- Honour's degree or Postgraduate diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, or any Database-related IT qualification.

**Minimum Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years Teaching and Learning experience (preferably in a teaching environment)
- Lecturing experience in programming and databases
- Proven track record of managing code and collaboration using Git and GitHub.

**Working Conditions**:

- Please note that this is a Part-time lecturing role.
- Positions are part-time with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00.
