**Reporting to Receivings & Dispatch Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the following (amongst other duties)**:

- Ensure that the correct amount is loaded and off loaded as per the documentation
- Ensure stock is handled properly
- Ensure that the stock is stacked and packed in the demarcated area
- Conduct the safety inspection on the forklift on a daily basis
- Report any faults on the forklift immediately
- Ensure that the forklift is always clean
- Assist with any reasonable task as requested by supervisor or manager.
- Ensure proper housekeeping
- Receive incoming shipments of raw and packaging material as well as the returns of finished goods and verify contents against purchase orders, delivery notes or supplier invoices
- Inspect deliveries for damages and discrepancies, weigh in the stock and report discrepancies as necessary
- Sort, label, and store items in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate records of received goods and update inventory control sheet accordingly
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labelling items based on customer orders
- Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately documented and comply with the food safety and quality system
- Assist in conducting monthly stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse storage areas
- Operate a forklift to move materials and products throughout the warehouse area. Be able to load and offload trucks and trailers with products and materials
- Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks; report any mechanical issues to maintenance team
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

**Requirements**:

- Valid forklift license
- 2 years’ experience in a distribution / store’s environment
- Good communicator

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to R6 500,00 per month

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)
