The IIE (Pty) Ltd is the registered provider of higher education which is offered through the following educational brands: IIE Varsity College, IIE Vega School of Brand Leadership, IIE MSA, and IIE Rosebank College. The Independent Institute of Education’s Central Academic Team is responsible for the academic leadership and governance of the work done at the brands while each brand is managed as a business entity by its own divisional management team.

This position is within the central IIE academic team. The IIE, as registered provider has ultimate responsibility for registration, curriculum, delivery, assessment and certification of all education on these sites as well as for relationships with external partners particularly in the regulatory and accreditation arena.

The IIE operates through six faculties supported by the Dean Academic Support and Development, and Dean Research and Postgraduate Studies and has established academic operations, compliance and academic leadership infrastructure and processes.

The IIE (Pty) Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of AdvTech Ltd which is listed on the JSE.

**Reporting to**:Accreditation and Quality Assurance Manager

**Level and scope: of responsibility**
The Administrator is responsible for rendering administrative support to the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Manager and Accreditation and Quality Assurance Specialist for projects and processes required for all programme development, accreditation, review and customisation, administration on the IIE journal and for the development, support and maintenance of systems which are part of this portfolio

**Key areas of responsibility include**:
Provides administrative support to projects related to the development or customization of short courses, using appropriate project management principles.

Provides administrative support to projects related to the development and accreditation submissions of full qualifications, using the appropriate project management principles.

Administers and maintains systems related to programme and research development projects, such as databases, in cooperation with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Manager.

**Qualifications**:
A Diploma or equivalent

**Experience**:
Knowledge and/or experience in working with the requirements of Higher Education Legislation and/or accreditation frameworks.

Minimum of 2 year’s strong administration and/ or at least 1 year project management experience.

**Competencies**:
Administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills that would promote professional, effective and efficient communication and information flow.

Impeccable English verbal and written competency.

Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills that will enable the person to work with various academic and project teams.

Demonstrated ability to manage self and own output and to work to tight deadlines while retaining impeccable levels of accuracy.

Attention to detail is a critical aspect of this job.

High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must be energetic and have the ability to work under pressure.

Demonstrated ability to administer tasks related to processes and projects.
