**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- This role requires a teacher who can create an engaging, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment, balancing high academic expectations with encouragement of artistic growth and self-expression.-
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Plan, prepare and present interesting and exciting Drama lessons.
- Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes engaged learning.
- Maintain professional standards with regard to punctuality, conduct, and student work.
- Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
- Participate actively in personal and school-wide professional development.
- Teach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
- Produce high-quality resources for students.
- Respond to parent queries within 24 hours.
- Demonstrate loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
- Attend special school occasions as required by the Head.
- Set and mark examinations and other forms of student assessment.
- Write report comments and contribute to the academic reporting process.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as determined by the School Head or Line Manager.
- **THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- A minimum of three years’ experience teaching Drama to secondary and post-16 students.- Excellent classroom management skills and a nurturing, student-centred approach.
- Confidence in using ICT and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
- A positive, professional attitude and strong organisational skills.
- Genuine care for student well-being and a commitment to fostering personal growth through the performing arts.
