**Job Advert Summary**:
PG Bison, a proudly South African world-class manufacturer of wood-based decorative panels and associated products, is seeking an experienced **Mechanical Foreman** to join our dynamic Engineering team at our **Boksburg site**.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent.
- **N4 Certificate** in Mechanical Engineering.
- **Qualified Fitter or Millwright**.
- Minimum **5 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant**.
- Minimum **5 years’ experience in general plant maintenance**.
- Proven **5+ years’ experience in supervisory management and job planning** (advantageous).
- Previous experience in the **wood industry** (advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of **hydraulics and pneumatics**.
- Computer literate (Windows programs essential; MS Projects advantageous).
- Sound leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
- Proven track record as a self-starter with high achievement orientation.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manage mechanical maintenance and shutdown work to ensure **maximum machine availability**.
- Implement and enforce maintenance business processes and standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain mechanical **maintenance standards**.
- Train and develop the plant engineering team to adhere to set standards.
- Conduct **audits**to ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
- Plan, schedule, and execute both routine and incidental **shutdown maintenance.**:

- Lead, manage, and motivate subordinates effectively.
- Control **maintenance costs**within set **budget**parameters.
- Drive **continuous improvement** and problem-solving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with **OHASA**and all relevant safety regulations.
