Sales Assistant

**Experience**: 1- 3 year of previous selling experience in a luxury retail service environment preferred. Possesses current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.

**Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.

**Essential Job Responsibilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team.
- Replenish merchandise on the sales floor
- Perform stock checks and report low inventory
- Reach above/bend to obtain product for customers from store fixtures/shelves at various heights
- Assist with merchandise floor moves and other visual tasks (merchandising and housekeeping duties)
- Process POS transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic computer skills (including the ability to use iPad/laptop and Internet)
- Comply with all retail and sales related policies and procedures POS, Operations and Loss Prevention procedures

**Customer Service**
- Greet each customer in a warm, friendly and professional manner
- Interact with each customer as they enter the store, welcoming them to Oliver Vagary
- Respond to customer’s questions quickly and accurately
- Determine customer’s needs and direct them to the appropriate sales associate
- Assist with all client problems and complaints as needed
- Provide the highest level of customer service to each customer

**Operations**
- Maintain and keep sales floor and merchandise neat, organized and always stocked
- Attaching and updating pricing tags on merchandise;
- Completes daily operational tasks including maintaining store (sales floor and cupboards / backrooms), stocking merchandise and creating displays, and visual merchandising to Oliver Vagary standards consistently and in a timely manner;
- Regularly treating displayed products with leather treatment provided;
- Inventory management: Replenishes merchandise and monitoring sales floor;
- Taking payments for purchases and packaging purchases correctly and neatly;
- Adhere to work schedule, inclusive of time and attendance;
- Comply with all PoS policies and procedures;
- Leverages Oliver Vagary’s tools and technology to support relationship building and clienteling efforts; including to drive sales and achieve individual goals

**Schedule**: Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including weekends, public holidays, busy seasons, and high retail traffic and sales days.
