- Responsible for logistics for company in Southern Africa.
- The role will be focused on all aspects of container vessel, breakbulk vessels and warehouses serving the Southern Africa flow

**Main Responsibilities**
- Responsible for all aspects of vendor management with logistics providers in Southern Africa: trucks, warehouses, container vessels, and break bulk vessels.
- Solid experience in the container vessel space will be preferred.
- The tasks include the selection, contract negotiation, establishment of service level agreement with providers, relationship management, execution and KPI setting & monitoring.
- Responsible for service providers billing review and approval.
- Liaises with the traffic team to support smooth day-to-day execution of the tasks linked to booking and management of vessel space, vessel availability per load port.
- Similarly with inland transportation providers.
- Reviews KPIs agreed with service providers and meets with providers on a regular basis to review performance and drive improvements.
- Serves as the escalation point for trouble shooting for logistics services.
- Addresses issues as they arise.
- Develops and maintains a full understanding of vessel availability for ports loading company products.
- Continuously search for improvements in existing operations as well as the onboarding of new loading routes.
- Optimize the current warehouse network.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintenance of warehouse requirements related to company, insurance and banks. This includes maintaining all documentation fully updated.
- Liaises internally with stakeholders as needed.
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders for the development of tools needed to manage the day-to-day aspects of the logistics function.
- Works with service providers to ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports.
- Drives for a culture of continuous improvement and automation.
- Sales and supply volume planning, warehouse safety stock planning (SOP) - 12 months rolling into yearly and monthly. This includes delivery planning per warehouse.
- Liaise with product providers especially with TFM to ensure smooth logistics operation.
- Stays abreast of industry developments, proposes, and implements process or technical solutions for company.
- Support company’s system implementation and proactively provide suggestions as needed.
- Ensure that data related to the logistics chain is correctly communicated to users.**Inherent Requirements**

**Education, Skills and Experience**
- At least 10 years of work experience in logistics roles in the Southern Africa region.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams.
- Demonstrated experience in restructuring processes and teams.
- Change management experience.
- Project management experience in a fast-growing environment.
- Demonstrated active leadership / participation in business continuous improvement projects.
- Excellent aptitude for numbers, analysis and excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good facilitation skills.
- Comfortable in communication with peers, senior management and external service providers
- Ability to be flexible and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Ability and willingness to travel as required
