Process Foreman

PURPOSE

This position exist to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety

Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment.

Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy.

Ensure team’s understanding of company safety policies, standards and procedures.

Identify areas of improvement in line with company Digitisation strategy

Identify SHE training requirements of reports.

Be part of Incident/ Accident investigation teams

Operations

Achieve production targets.

Manage performance of production shifts

Form part of maintenance planning and execution. Supervision and sign off maintenance tasks.

Ensure plant operates within cost budget.

Maintain high standards of operational excellence.

Identify process optimization needs.

People and Systems Management

Drive teams’ compliance to company strategy.

Effectively delegate tasks.

Manage time and attendance, and other systems.

Identify and develop talent within areas of responsibility.

ADMINISTRATION

Completes safety, production, maintenance, personnel, and quality control records and reports.

Liaise with external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Metallurgical, Chemical Engineering or another related Diploma/ Degree

EXPERIENCE

5 years experience in coal processing plants

A minimum 3 years proven supervisory experience
