**Overall Job Purpose**:

- The Manager: Student Administration manages and plans regional academic operations and student support to ensure efficiency from the point of registration to graduation, as well as to ensure campus compliance with the relevant policies of the institution in support of the Deputy Registrar: Admissions & Administration and Faculty Managers.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Manage and oversee all activities related to student records.**
- Lead and execute academic operations projects to improve processes and systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of academic milestones e.g. academic calendars, timetabling, assessment dates, moderation, results release and graduation.
- Track project risks, issues, and actions effectively.
- Prepares and manages student communication where required in ensuring students understanding of policy and processes which support student success.
- Oversee all activities related to the maintenance and confidentiality of student records.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
- Supervise records audits and data cleansing exercises

**Management and quality assurance**
- Manage the end-to-end assessment processes, including exam administration and result processing.
- Ensure accuracy in certification issuance, aligned with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Overall management of the assessment and certification process at the institution to ensure accurate and confidential student academic records.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, ensuring equity of delivery across the institution.
- Implement quality assurance measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor campus compliance with academic policies and procedures.
- Works with the academic operations department to develop strategies to ensure student retention.

**Escalation point between campus and OOR**
- Serve as the primary liaison between campus academic teams and the Office of the Registrar (OOR).
- Resolve operational escalations efficiently and proactively.
- Maintain clear communication channels between internal stakeholders.

**Implement and optimise academic systems and tools for operational efficiency**
- Implementing systems and training for a clear understanding of the institution’s academic plan from registration, retention, to graduation.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure staff understand academic plans and processes.
- Drive staff capacity-building to ensure a scalable approach for seamless student lifecycle management from registration to graduation.
- Guides and supports the operational teams on campuses to ensure that national interventions and initiatives are implemented on campus in line with academic policies and procedures.

**Minimum Educational Requirement**:

- Bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7).

**Minimum Work Requirement**:

- 3 years experience in administration & academic operations.
- 2 years project management experience.
