Packing Supervisor

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging product materials for storage or shipment.
- Studies production order to ascertain type quantity of product, containers to be used, and other packaging requirements.
- Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
- Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.
- Starts, adjusts, and repairs packaging machinery, or notifies the maintenance department.
- Trains workers in the operation of equipment.
- Requisitions containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations.
- Performs other duties as instructed by the Production Manager

Minimum requirements

Experience
- 3 years’ experience In a similar role
- 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role

Education
- School Matric
- Tertiary Certificate or Diploma in related field

R 12 000 negotiable depending on experience
