**The** **Demand & Supply Planner** is a key driver of supply chain success, ensuring precise forecasting, seamless planning, and optimized inventory. This role keeps operations running smoothly, prevents disruptions, and aligns procurement with financial strategy to fuel growth and efficiency.

**Demand Forecasting & Analysis**
- Analyze sales trends, market insights, and historical data to accurately forecast demand.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to factor in promotions, seasonality, and product launches.
- Collaborate with retail partners to get demand side and really understand the numbers.
- Continuously refine forecasting models to reduce stockouts and excess inventory while improving accuracy.

**Supply Planning & Manufacturing Coordination**
- Manage end-to-end supply planning, ensuring raw materials, production, and finished goods are aligned.
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to oversee production schedules, lead times, and supplier reliability.
- Identify risks in the supply chain and proactively adjust plans to avoid disruptions.
- Maintain full oversight of timelines, logistics, and inventory flow across all operations.

**Inventory & ERP System Ownership**
- Own and maintain the ERP system, ensuring accurate inventory levels, stock tracking, and movement visibility.
- Understand where every product and raw material is at all times—from sourcing to final delivery.
- Monitor stock levels and implement reorder strategies to keep supply balanced with demand.

**Financial Alignment & Cash Flow Planning**
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure healthy cash flow cycles and efficient stock purchasing.
- Optimize inventory management to reduce excess capital tied up in stock while avoiding shortages.
- Align procurement decisions with financial forecasts and company growth plans.

**Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvement**
- Identify and implement system improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
- Develop and refine demand and supply planning workflows to improve responsiveness and agility.
- Leverage data insights to drive continuous improvement across all supply chain operations.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related field.
- Experience in supply chain, manufacturing or FMCG is highly preferred.
- Must be based in Cape Town, working in-office two days per week with occasional on-site visits to the manufacturer nearby.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or relevant field.
- Ability to operate strategically while also executing hands-on when required in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and proactive problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration, ability to work under pressure and navigate complex situations.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as Cin7 or similar, Excel/Google Sheets, and data modeling skills.
- Will work closely with the Supply Chain Officer and COO, with strategic ownership over key areas of the supply chain, requiring strong competency and leadership ability.
