An exciting opportunity exists for a **Demand Planner **at **Indigo Brands**, Cape Town. As the successful incumbent you will be responsible for facilitating effective cross functional alignment to plan and deliver a 24 month rolling forecast incorporating all required assumptions, including, but not limited to the portfolio / brand plans, seasonal and promotional cycles, innovation funnels, category dynamics and market related trends.

The Demand Planners also need to incorporate and analyse coinciding retailer information, extending the data input fields to beyond Indigo. This will include both sales and inventory information, which can inform assumption based demand planning cycles and commercial inputs. Performance reviews are essential as it informs ongoing planning of standard business. Event and initial launch reviews are provided by the demand planning team. Both of the aforementioned activities identify gaps in execution, which enables improved distribution, and ultimately sales.

The ultimate output of the demand forecast culminates into the fiscal budgets, which is used to drive our estimated commitments to group, as well as the buying plans for the supply chain teams. The monthly cycle updates are then utilised to track against targets and inform risks to our latest estimates.

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in demand management / forecasting
- Business process analytics
- Multiple category demand forecasting experience would be advantageous
- High count and multiple stakeholder exposure would be advantageous

**Qualifications**:

- Matric / NQF 4
- Tertiary qualification
- Comm (Statistics / Economics / Logistics) would be advantageous
- Engineering / Supply Chain qualifications would be advantageous
- Analytical courses would be advantageous

**Additional Requirements**:

- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint
- SAP knowledge essential
- Sound technical knowledge of statistical forecasting
- Barnton exposure, and understanding essential
- Change management experience
- Sapics / Apics certification would be advantageous
