System Design and Integration
Develop and maintain an IMS aligned with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
Ensure system integration across departments (HSE, R&D, Engineering, Operations).
Maintain centralized documentation and records.
Compliance and Certification
Coordinate ISO certifications and legal compliance (OHSA, MHSA, NEMA).
Maintain legal registers and support inspections and audits.
Auditing and Performance Monitoring
Execute internal audits, analyze findings, and implement CAPAs.
Report on IMS performance and lead management reviews.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Embed risk-based thinking in all systems.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and benchmark best practices.
Training and Culture Development
Deliver IMS training and promote awareness across all staff levels.
Support new employee onboarding related to IMS responsibilities.
Digital Optimization
Digitize IMS processes including audits, incident tracking, and reporting.
Implement system platforms that enhance access and traceability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Align IMS efforts with ESG reporting and strategic business goals.
Foster communication between operational, compliance, and engineering teams.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
Education
**Minimum**: Bachelor’s in Quality, Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or Risk Management.
**Preferred**: Honours or Master’s in related systems or engineering disciplines.
Certifications
At least one Lead Auditor Certification in ISO 9001/14001/45001.
**Advantageous**: IMS Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, Lean, NEBOSH, RPO certification.
Experience
5-8 years in managing IMS in regulated sectors (e.g., nuclear, chemical, manufacturing).
Proven track record in ISO certification and regulatory audits.
Technical Skills
Strong command of ISO standards and South African regulations.
Proficiency in risk assessment (HIRA, FMEA), CAPA, digital tools, and legal compliance systems.
Strategic and Leadership Abilities
Experience aligning IMS to business strategy and ESG goals.
Strong analytical, facilitation, and change management capabilities.
