**DESCRIPTION**

The CCTV division in the Western Cape requires a CCTV Technician to assist/complete servicing, fault finding/troubleshooting, camera commissioning, Control Room & site call-outs, assist with stock delivery/collection and do basic repairs to CCTV installations.

**REPORTING**

The CCTV Technician will report to the Community Surveillance Manager

**QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES**

**COMPULSORY**
- Grade 12 with PC Literacy
- PSIRA registration
- Drivers License
- Must have a well-defined fault-finding ability.
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Sound knowledge of Networking and CCTV technologies.
- Working knowledge of routers and port forwarding.
- Basic electronic knowledge N1 or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge of electronic testing equipment.
- Basic handyman skills.
- Must have a strong sense of attention to detail.
- Must be able to work on Excel, Outlook & Team viewer.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Installing and maintaining Fidelity ADT community and customer-based CCTV installations.
- Problem solving and link-ups of CCTV systems to our CCTV monitoring center.
- Remote configuration and team viewer support.
- Be able to test, analyze and do fault-finding on a CCTV system.
- Will be required to be on standby for the control room for system maintenance from time to time.
- Keep an inventory of spares available.
- Provide weekly reports to management.
- Remote configuration, team viewer support, and be able to test, analyze and do fault-finding on a CCTV system independently.
- Must be willing to work after hours/standby
- Must work well as part of a team and independently and be self-motivated.
- Must have sound knowledge of Network infrastructure (install, configure & troubleshoot) knowledge of VPNs, DynDNS, Port forwarding etc.
- A background in CCTV Analytics and control room Tech support will be advantageous.
- Must be able to take initiative on urgent installations and call-outs while always reporting to the line manager.
- The individual must be punctual, transparent, and pay attention to detail.
- Knowledge/Accreditation of Hikvision, Dahua, (IP & analogue) analytics & number plate recognition software (ITRACK/Platform 1 etc.)
