**Position Overview**:
**Specific Role Responsibilities**:

- Daily identification of tenders from all online and manual tender advertisement sources
- Sourcing of tender material and documentation
- Convene, manage, and oversee tender viability / tender meetings
- Oversee attendance of all tender briefing sessions
- Assess tender requirements and documents to prepare tender submissions and to ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws
- End-to-end management of all tender submissions from identification to successful submission
- Engage, debate, deliberate with all internal and external stakeholders across all business disciplines [procurement, finance, operations, technical, human resources, legal and compliance] to ensure submission of responsive bids
- Attend to all post-submission internal and external engagements
- Attend to all post-award engagements [contract and SLA negotiations]
- Conduct continuous tender post-mortems [outcome based]
- Formulate and manage policies, processes, procedures, systems, compliance, and governance structures for effective tender solutions
- Maintain and monitor records of submitted, outstanding / pending, won, lost, etc. tenders
- Maintain electronic and manual databases for submitted tenders and signed agreements
- Ensure that the quality and completeness of tender submissions
- Constantly seek innovative and new ideas and ways to ensure a streamlined smooth and effective tender management process
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for the tender department based on strategic and business growth requirements
- Cross selling
- Ensure that appointments targets are met weekly ;
- Managing the existing business fleet and managing the contract parameters of each vehicle;
- Service existing customers ;
- Expand current customer base and introduce all IFM products to maximize sales and revenue targets ;
- Assist with the credit process and obtain documentation as per the credit checklist ;
- Signing up of all customers and ensuring documentation required is signed in accordance with the credit policies ;

- Attend all training sessions and meetings as required

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Matric / Grade 12
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Sales/Marketing/Accounting/Transport/Supply Chain/Logistics or similar
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fleet management and asset-based finance industry
- Excellent Fleet Management & Asset Base Finance product knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a tender environment [administrative, operational, technical]

**Skills and Personal Attributes**:

- Understanding of the various Fleet Management & Asset Base Finance disciplines [Procurement, Finance, Risk & Compliance Management, Operations, Technical, CRM, Business Development]
- Sound project management and coordination skills
- Sound presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of the Public Sector legislative environment [Public Finance Management Act, Municipal Finance Management Act, Supply Chain Management Provisions]
- Understanding of the general legislative environment [Occupational Health & Safety, Environment]
- Sound understanding of the automotive industry at large
- Able to multi-task
- Work well under pressure and manage stress effectively
- Highly ethical
- Analytical, confident and competent self-starter
- Deadline and target driven with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to influence and negotiate
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office suite)
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (comfortable in the English language);
- The Ability to meet deadlines;
