Senior Sales Executive

**Job Desciption**:
The Incumbent will be expected to develop and implement an agreed Sales Plan in conjunction with the current General Manager, achieving both personal and business targets while expanding the existing customer base. The role requires a proactive approach, contributing to solution-oriented teamwork in full support of the sales and manufacturing divisions.
The Senior Sales Executive will play a key role in driving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term success, in alignment with the company’s vision, values, and strategic objectives.
**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and new clients to drive turnover growth.
- Identify and approach potential clients, accurately assess their security packaging needs, and provide tailored solutions.
- Actively manage new product development in collaboration with customers and development team.
- Contribute to the annual business plan, in conjunction with management, to achieve strategic goals and exceed sales targets.
- Maximise opportunities throughout the sales process to grow the company’s market share.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships in line with company policies, core values, procedures, and business ethics.
- Address customer complaints and work proactively to identify and resolve client concerns.
- Follow up on payment collections when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Conduct market research to assist in identifying opportunities for new products and in enhancing or developing existing ones.
- Monitor and report on competitor activities, pricing, and potential collaborations; identify business opportunities and threats.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the market in which the company operates and how its products and services are used within that market.
**Educational Requirements**:
- Matric or equivalent
- A relevant Sales/ Marketing qualification
- A BCom Degree in Marketing will be an added advantage
**Experience Requirements**:
- At least 3 years’ experience as a Senior Sales Executive and at least 8 years in sales with a traceable record.
- In-depth knowledge of the flexible packaging market
- Experience in e-commerce and banking / CIT sector would count in your favour
- Knowledge of SYSPRO an added advantage
**Skills and Competencies**:
- Must possess a strong technical aptitude
- Excellent people skills with strong customer service competencies
- A strategic thinker with a willingness to travel when required
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, with attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
