Indirect Procurement Manager

A global organisation is wishing to appoint an INDIRECT PROCUREMENT MANAGER on a 6-month fixed-term contract basis to provide input into the design and implementation of a centralised procurement operating model in Africa and ensure the effective maintenance of indirect procurement disciplines. Be the primary liaison between Africa leadership, local and regional procurement organisations.

**Responsibilities**:
**Supplier Management**
- Find and on-board approved, reliable and competitive suppliers for products and services
- Negotiate supply agreements with nominated suppliers that achieves EMEAI saving targets
- Ensure that all supply contracts are compliant, up to date and appropriate records are maintained
- Ensure that all supplier master data is up to date
- Manage suppliers to contractual obligations as required and with regular intervals
- Manage the number and type of suppliers in accordance with the Companies best practice targets
- Control and oversee adherence to direct and indirect pricing against supplier terms and budgets

**Sourcing**
- Work with Product Development, Sales, Marketing and Engineering to ensure continuous development of on-going and new products
- Establish and manage strategic procurement partnerships
- Collaborate with Group entities (as required) to obtain the most cost-effective supply arrangements
- Generate and implement a pipeline of ongoing direct and indirect procurement savings projects
- Reporting and Information management
- Analysis and report on direct and indirect procurement spend
- Ensure adherence to all Group reporting requirements
- Ensure high standard of reporting and that reporting deadlines are met
- Maintain complete and accurate supplier information on various platforms
- Provide inputs on direct and indirect procurement spend for forecasting, planning and budgeting purposes

**Qualifications**:

- At least a B.Com, B.Eng or B.Sc
- An Honours or Masters degree will be advantageous
- Procurement Specialisation and Certifications

**Experience**:

- Minimum 5+ years in procurement role, 2 years in management role
- Product sourcing (new and replacement, raw material, components and traded goods)
- Managing global suppliers (Contracts, negotiations, performance)
- Managing roll out of procurement components in new ERP system implementation
- Procurement project management
- Solid track record of achieving significant procurement cost savings
- Preferred: Experience working in manufacturing environment and construction related products
