**Gauteng**, JHB - Eastern Suburbs** **R 400000 - R 800000 Annually Cost To Company** Our client, is a leading player in the hoisting industry, providing top-notch design, manufacturing, supply, installation, and commissioning services for winders, winches, hoists, and related equipment - has an opportunity for a skilled QC Inspector Automation to join their team in Gauteng. This role involves monitoring, verifying, and reporting on the correctness, accuracy, and adherence to requirements of electrical products and systems provided by the Electrical manufacturing Department, Suppliers, and Contractors. **Primary Responsibilities**: - Monitor and verify the acquired/purchased components, parts, items, and products. - Inspect and release externally sourced components, products, sub-assemblies, etc. - manufactured and/or off-the-shelf. - Ensure correct assembly of mechanical, electrical, and electronic sub-assemblies, products, and systems as per approved design, standards, and workmanship norms. - Inspect wiring, interconnecting, and integration of mechanical, electrical, and electronic sub-assemblies, assemblies, and final products according to design and workmanship norms. - Draft QCPs based on Engineering specifications for Electrical Production work. - Monitor adherence to sequencing and relevant QCPs during production activities. - Verify compliance with required standards, processes, and expected norms of components, parts, wiring, assemblies, and final products. - Compile results, findings, and trend analysis of monitoring and verification activities. - Monitor manufacturing document control during various stages and "red-lining." - Conduct supplier visits to assess processes, monitor performance, and institute corrective measures for quality incidents. - Report manufacturing errors/shortcomings and assist with test-bay inspection and testing. - Ensure compliance with the company's QA system requirements in terms of ISO 9001:2015. **Minimum Requirements**: - 5 years' experience in a relevant Automation related Engineering Environment with expertise in MV switchgear, Transformers, AC/DC Motors, Electrics of Ventilation/Filtration, Panel assembly with electric/electronic componentry, wiring, and PLC automation. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams within an Automation industry. - Familiarity with relevant measuring equipment for low and high voltage tests, insulation resistance and continuity tests, and dimensional and paint thickness verification. - Experience in mining environments and with mining projects will be advantageous. - Formal QC training/qualification will be advantageous. - Knowledge and/or experience of Quality management systems and processes will be advantageous. - Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel. - Valid Driver's License.
